Projects:
- As a neurologist and director of the neurovascular unit at the CHU of Bordeaux, my research examines the neurovascular conditions that are the principal causes of handicap among adults in industrialized countries. The risk factors associated with stroke and the mechanisms underlying comorbid conditions (notably, post-stroke depression) are at present poorly understood and require a multidisciplinary approach in their investigation. My work therefore integrates functional and molecular imagery as well as ambulatory research methods for understanding pathophysiology and daily life symptom expression of these conditions.
