The goal of the new INCIA platform (June 2013), PhyCell is to provide the scientific expertise and device to tackle questions requiring electrophysiological techniques and/or calcium imaging.
The PhyCell platform is located in the renewed room n°15 in the 2B building of the Bordeaux Segalen University and is constituted, so far, of three fully equipped rigs for extra- and intracellular recordings and calcium imaging.
The PhyCell platform provides a longitudinal support from experimental design to article writing and is strongly involved in the electrophysiological training of students and postdocs. The current research projects performed on the platform involved INCIA teams.
PhyCell has however the ambition to attract people from other academic laboratories, biotechs and industries.
