INCIA at Cap Science Bordeaux for the 25th edition of Science Festival

For the 2016 Science Festival edition, the city of Bordeaux decided to highlight the Neurosciences on October 15-16th. The Cap Science committee organized a broad audience called “grand remue meninges”, which was visited by more than 2600 persons.
Over 25 Laboratories, Institutes, Universities, schools, associations, and artists were invited to explain in a simple way their work during the week-end through 15 booths, 3 workshops, 8 keynotes and 1 performance.
The team HYBRID from INCIA was there to share their passion about Science, discuss with visitors and present 3 small experiments which relate several aspect of the scientific aims leaded by the Team. Grasping the myoelectric control with a video game, fooling your brain testing the sensory signal incongruence with a mirror box or controlling a robotic arm with multiple interfaces, there were for all ages and taste.

Robert Jaffard, Emeritus in the DECAD team also provided the assistance with a fascinating talk entitled « Apprentissage, mémoire et intelligence des animaux ».
