Catherine Semal is professor in psychology at Bordeaux-INP (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Cognitique) and member of INCIA (Auditory Perception Team). She works alongside Laurent Demany on auditory perception and memory in humans.
She received the Palmes Académiques for her involvement in local responsibilities (management of diplomas in psychology, cognitive sciences, cursus for engineers), national responsibilities (Conseil National des Universités : CNU 16_Psychologie, psychologie clinique, psychologie sociale ; Comité National du CNRS : section 26_Cerveau, cognition, comportment) and the help she regularly provides to the students.
