Decision and Adaptation from down under

As a follow-up of the recently obtained CNRS PICS, the DECAD team made it all the way down under to reach colleagues from Sydney.

But before that, Etienne Coutureau and Juan Carlos Cerpa attended the SFN meeting at San Diego during which Juan presented a poster.

Busy time for Juan at San Diego.

Then it was time to catch up with Alain Marchand, Mathieu Wolff and Shauna Parkes. A nice symposium was held with colleagues from Bernard Balleine’s and Fred Westbrook’s labs. The program for that day is available below.

The following day, Shauna gave the talk for the Behavioural Neuroscience Seminar at UNSW.

With that much discussion, you can get thirsty.

From left to right you can see Bernard Balleine, Nathan Holmes and Simon Killcross.

Being a native from Sydney, it was a natural move for Shauna to bring the whole team in Sydney’s surroundings. Being an academic can be rewarding at times. :)

Last, Mathieu was lucky enough to make a final detour at Christchurch (NZ), 11years after completing his Post-Doc over there.
After a talk on "The Cognitive Thalamus", it was time to go say hi to the Bank’s peninsula, before finally getting back home. South hemisphere rocks!
