Lauréat Grand Prix Académie des Sciences

Joel Swendsen, Director of Research at the CNRS and Professor at the Ecole Practique des Hautes Etudes, was awarded the Grand Prix Halphen by the Academy of Sciences on October 15th for his work in psychiatry using mobile technologies. These methods are revolutionizing mental health research thanks to their ability to overcome longstanding methodological and conceptual limitations of traditional paradigms. Dr. Swendsen is recognized as a pioneer in this area and his work addresses a wide range of mental disorders. His INCIA team “Neuroimaging and Human Cognition” includes both psychiatrists (Prs. Manuel Bouvard et Mélina Fatseas ; Drs. Anouk Amestoy and David Misdrahi) and psychologists (Drs. Ellemarije Altena, Sylvie Berthoz, and Micha Pfeuty).

Well done Joel!
