Projects:
My research focuses on the interaction between sleep disruption and daytime functioning, which I investigate using affective, cognitive and physiological tests as well as neuroimaging techniques (fMRI). By setting up clinical research studies comparing patients and controls but also performing analyses in large datasets, I try to unravel, with my team and international collaborators, the pathophysiological mechanisms behind comorbid disorders that involve sleep disruption, affective and cognitive symptoms and physiological malfunctioning. Furthermore, I am particularly interested in the development of feasible and accessible interventions to normalize and improve both behavioral and physiological symptoms in these disorders.
