A study from the CPGS team, in collaboration with the CIRRIS (U. Laval, Québec) and operated by the PAM in the Zero-G airplane (CNES), in Journal of Neurophysiology: Guillaud E, Faure C, Doat E, Bouyer LJ, Guehl D, Cazalets JR. ANCESTRAL PERSISTENCE OF VESTIBULO-SPINAL REFLEXES IN AXIAL MUSCLES IN HUMANS. J Neurophysiol. 2020 Apr 22. doi: 10.1152/jn.00421.2019.

This study addresses the extent of conservation of trunk muscle control in humans. Results suggests a phylogenetically conserved blueprint of sensorimotor organization, with strongly hardwired vestibulo‐spinal inputs to axial motoneurons and a higher degree of flexibility in the later emerging limb control system.
